SIGWEB Fair Access Grant
WebSci’25 is pleased to collaborate with SIGWEB to provide travel grants for student conference presenters.
SIGWEB is committed to promoting fair access to its conferences and to achieve this goal, SIGWEB is increasing and broadening the student support offered at these events. This initiative aims to reduce financial barriers for students as well as early researchers from economically developing countries, thus enabling broader participation in conferences and creating a more inclusive academic community.
Grant amount: The total amount allocated for all WebSci’25 travel grants is $10,000. The size of the award to an individual may vary depending on various factors such as the number of qualified applicants or the distance travelled. Preference will be given to individuals who have an accepted paper and who will be presenting that work themselves. Participants may receive grants for the full amount they requested, or they may receive partial support. The funding will be distributed as reimbursements for expenses after the conference, after participants present receipts to the ACM system.
Eligibility criteria: The grants are open to all undergraduate and graduate students, as well as to post-doctoral researchers, or non-tenured professionals who are residents in any of the countries listed at services.acm.org/public/qj/proflevel/countryListing.cfm. The grant may be used to support travel to the conference, including flights, accommodation costs, and other costs related to obtaining a VISA.
